Headquartered in Shelby Charter Township, Michigan, The MDM dance studio was founded by McCleese who has been teaching for 12 years and dancing for 20 years. Prior to opening the studio, McCleese was the head of the Dance Department at the Center Stage Studio Performing Arts Studio in California. For the last decade, he has judged several dance competitions, including Showbiz and Primetime. Having performed professionally on stage in several musicals and winning choreography, costume and special awards, McCleese has lead his students to place first overall at competitions throughout the country.

ABOUT THE FILM: Despite his family’s generations-old ban on music, young Miguel dreams of becoming an accomplished musician like his idol Ernesto de la Cruz.
