Nicely Theatre Group presents The Drowsy Chaperone,  a light, loving send-up of old-time musicals, featuring one show-stopping song and dance number after another.

As the show begins, a man sitting in a chair in his apartment greets the audience and puts on his favorite record–the cast recording of a fictitious 1928 musical called “The Drowsy Chaperone.” Soon, the recording comes to life in his living room, and the zany story of two lovers on the eve of their wedding unfolds.

The Drowsy Chaperone debuted on Broadway in 2006 and  won five Tony Awards, including best Book and best Original Score. The show running time is approximately 100 minutes, with no intermission.

Friday performances include half-off all adult beverages from 6:00 until the bar closes right before 7:30 show time. Plus, complimentary  delicious snacks.

The Drowsy Chaperone is presented through special arrangement with Music Theatre International (MTI). All authorized materials are also supplied by MTI.
