March 23 | Marvin Hamlish opens The Berman

May 23 | Patti LuPone and the Detroit Symphony’s Youth Orchestra perform – opening gala celebration

June | The Berman Center for the Performing Arts announced is inaugural 2011-2012 season, on that included the best in music, dance, film and lectures. The Berman began with partnerships with Michigan Opera Theatre, Detroit Symphony Orchestra, Jewish Ensemble Theatre and performances from local, national and international touring artists.

February 2 | Detroit Symphony Orchestra hosts it’s Thursday Neighborhood Series Concert

February 4 | The Berman produces the first “Michigan Five” dance showcase

February 11 | Eisenhower Dance Ensemble performs New DANCEfest X

| Ballet Folklorico do Antioquia, Colombia bring their classic, contemporary and physical dance to The Berman

March 4 | Wild Swan Theater performs “Once Upon a Time”

March 8 | Detroit Symphony Orchestra hosts it’s Thursday Neighborhood Series Concert

March 10 – 12 | The Acting Company performs “Julius Caesar” & “The Comedy of Errors”

March 17 | NOA performs as part of the JCC Stephen Gottlieb Music Festival

April 26 | Detroit Symphony Orchestra hosts it’s Thursday Neighborhood Series Concert
